Diane Pappas for Addison Township Supervisor
Diane and her husband have lived in Itasca since 1997.
After emigrating to the United States from Poland in 1982 at the age of 11, Diane grew up in Addison and Roselle.
A graduate of Lake Park High School, Michigan State University and Yale Law School, Diane’s legal career included working as in-house counsel for local companies including Videojet, Meridian IQ and Motorola, where she helped clients with human resource issues, risk management and contract negotiations.
In her community, Diane was a member of the Itasca Citizens Against Road Expansion (ICARE) committee, helping to defeat an IDOT plan that would have ruined the character and functionality of Itasca’s downtown. She also served for 5 years as President of the Friends of Itasca Community Library. During the pandemic, she has volunteered for various pop-up food pantries to help alleviate hunger insecurity.
Diane served as State Representative for IL House District 45 in the 101st General Assembly, where she ensured the passage of a bill that allowed the re-allocation of collected taxes towards necessary projects in lieu of raising tax rates.
As state representative. Diane served on the General Services Appropriations committee, giving her a keen insight into state agency budgeting process which she will use to realign the township budget with residents’ priorities.
